Mario Cristobal is an excellent recruiter. Coach? That Georgia Tech thing and last week ... it just bums me out. And starting QB Tyler Van Dyke is a GT call here. Not even sure it matters if he plays but this will likely jump a bit if not.

Although many observers expected the Hurricanes to fall into disarray following their epic late-game collapse against Georgia Tech, they battled admirably last week against North Carolina before a second-half blitz from the Tar Heels led to a 41-31 defeat. It’s unusual to see Clemson unranked and essentially out of the ACC race, but the Tigers are on an upward trajectory with two consecutive wins following early-season losses to Duke and Florida State. This could be close most of the way, but you have to fade Miami in what appears to be throes of another late-season meltdown.

I don't like the vibes around Miami right now. There was the kneel down stupidity against Georgia Tech followed by a spanking from North Carolina. Tyler Van Dyke will play, but seems less than 100%. Meanwhile, Dabo's complaining about the fans this week, and he doesn't normally do that unless he's confident he can get them to stop whining.

Clemson is coming out of an off week that is expected to produce a healthier roster -- especially at wide receiver -- while Miami returns home after back-to-back emotional losses. The Tigers defense is elite and should be able to get after Tyler Van Dyke, providing enough good field position for Will Shipley and the Clemson offense to take advantage.

Under 49 - Once the conference started Clemson is the same team as they’ve been since Trevor Lawrence last suited up for the Tigers. All defense and an okay offense. They are 4-0 under in ACC games with a median points per game of 20.5 while allowing a 21 median points per game. Miami starting QB Tyler Van Dyke is beat up from last week’s game versus North Carolina. Van Dyke has a leg injury, injured shoulder and hand injury but will give it go versus Clemson. Freshman QB Emory Williams is a 4 point drop off if Van Dyke can’t go. Clemson’s defense ranks 3rd in yard per play allowed at just 4.2 yards per play while the Hurricanes are 35th.
